Teen ballerinas Kennedy George and Ava Holloway posed in front of the Robert E. Lee monument on June 5, 2020. Virginia Governor Ralph Northam recently announced the decision to remove the statue amid the protests against racism and police brutality that led to the death of George Floyd.
